We have had a very busy September in our class! Here are a few of the many topics that we have been covering...
In SPHE we shared our favourite things, which included cuddly toys, blankets and dolls. Each child spoke to the class about their favourite thing or special toy and answered questions from the class.
In Visual Art we have been using nature as an inspiration for our drawing and painting. We have drawn flowers from observation - everyone did really well at this and it was a very calm and relaxed art class. We used leaves and paint to make colourful print paintings and we also went outside to gather items from nature and then drew them from observation. There was great excitement when a caterpillar was discovered on a branch!
We were very lucky to have a visit from Garda Trish. She told us all about her job and some children were allowed to try on some of her uniform. Garda Trish told us that we can help the Gardaí by reporting anything suspicious. She also told all of the children to learn their Eircodes off by heart!
